Pulse Lighting

This was killer. The light show was intense, but you would have to have been there to understand.

Furthur

Furthur Rolled into NYC this past weekend with the vibe of a disco dance party, and a light show that was just flat out wild.

Furthur - MSG

The light show that is with Furthur is truly something. A few simple racks of lights filled the place up in ever changing seas of blues and greens and were syncopated beautifully with the music.

“Pulse Lighting has made Honor By August look like a million bucks. Even Bon Jovi was impressed!”

About Us

Pulse Lighting was founded in 2005 by Paul and Preston Hoffman - two brothers fascinated by the concert and event lighting business and determined to be a part of it.  The pair got their start by walking into a bar many years ago and asking if they could run the lights for whatever band was playing the following night.  That band happened to be a Grateful Dead "tribute band" - little did the brothers know that years later Preston Hoffman would become the LD for "Furthur" - fronted by Bob Weir and Phil Lesh of the actual Grateful Dead.

The pair battled onward gradually working more regularly for small bands and acquiring equipment.  Their lighting skills also took leaps forward during the annual Osyrusfest Festival, also organized by the brothers, which was used as an excuse to go "all out" and work with bigger and more elaborate systems.

Today Pulse Lighting works with many bands, concerts, festivals and events nationwide.  Recent projects include tours for Furthur and Widespread Panic as well as event lighting for Figure Skating National Championships, Olympic Trial events, Warren Haynes' Christmas Jam, Osyrusfest and many more...
